Technologic and cultural companies can apply until the next week.

Not all companies can afford to have orientations at many areas to achieve succes and have the ISS reduced to 2%. But this is just a part of the advantages that incumbent companies can have. All of this is proposed by the Gênesis Institute, the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio (PUC-Rio) incubator of companies.

José Alberto Sampaio Aranha, Gênesis director, says that working together with university, high experienced teachers and others companies can be a valuable aid to reach the success. “All 31 entrepreneurships invoiced last year around of R$ 100 millions, created 600 news jobs, benefited directly or indirectly 400 people and contributed with R$ 5 millions to city's taxes. Its hard to take care of a company at the beginning, because they are absolutelly left for themselves. Here, they talk and ask for help, have direct contact with many others companies at the same situation.”

Excellent technical skill of the university was the main cause of the motivation of Leonardo Coelho, 25, and his 3 partners, to had included their company, Silicon Strategy, which has been working for one year at Gênesis Institute.

“We studied at the Instituto Militar de Engenharia (IME) and started the company just after we had graduated. Although we had closed few contracts, we didn't have all the security that we needed. Our company has been at Gênesis Institute since 2006, March, and business oportunities has been increasing a lot. We have excellent advices and we do not close any contract without their indorsement.”
