Silicon Strategy has made available, on the web, a wiki (http://cvssilicon.cjb.net/wiki/) concerned Work Group Automatization of Diagnoses and Recovery of Failures (GT-ADRef), a project financed by public resources that counts, beyond Silicon Strategy, on RNP (Rede Nacional de Pesquisa) and IME (Instituto Militar de Engenharia). The need to answer to the growth of complexity of telecommunication network and necessity of management process automatization, brought forth the motivation to start this project. The GT-ADRef project intends to investigate common failures on the backbone and to develop mechanisms to automatize diagnoses and recovery processes. It has the purpose to lead to a great benefit for networks operators, considering the fact that its costs of operation can be reduced and the quality of service improved by the reduction of outages. This wiki has been developed to provide information and allow everyone involved with the project to publish all knowledge acquired and show straight information to the scientific community. What is a Wiki? Wiki is a piece of server software that allows users to freely create and edit Web page content using any Web browser. Wiki is unusual among group communication mechanisms in that it allows the organization of contributions to be edited in addition to the content itself. O objetivo da criação deste wiki é permitir a todos os envolvidos disponibilizar o conhecimento adquirido ao longo do projeto e tornar transparente para a comunidade científica as informações a respeito do seu andamento. O que é um wiki? Wiki é um tipo de site que permite que todas as pessoas nele cadastradas alterem o conteúdo de suas páginas, sem a necessidade de esperar por um administrador ou moderador, isso significa que não é uma 'equipe do site' a responsável por desenvolvê-lo, mas todos os envolvidos no projeto!
