Silicon Strategy

In 2005, Silicon Strategy's team developed a tool designed to manage the ADSL Network inventory of Oi/ Telemar, gathering equipments from Alcatel, the leader ADSL manufacturer and whose equipments prevail in Oi's network.

This software offers to users an inventory of all existent Alcatel equipaments in the network: 7300, 7350 e 7301 ASAM. Moreover, it detects irregularities between users' contracted services and configured profiles in the equipments that provides him the internect service.

It provides a user-friendly web interface and allows the generation of many customized reports for management support, including information such as:

• Equipments releases;
• Cards configured in the xDSL network;
• Ports used by the each client;
• Total bandwidth used by each DSLAM;
• Maximum Speed/ Upstream/ Downstream configurations;
• Correlation between ports of DSLAM and VPC Path;
• Percentage of DSLAM occupation (filtered by state or DSLAM), etc.

This system is currently in full operation and has been improved to encompass new requirements and the network evolution.
